GAWAH BONGA FOUNDATION
Internship Program at Gawah Bonga Foundation
"Grow your purpose. Work with impact."
At Gawah Bonga Foundation, we offer a unique internship experience in the heart of Lombok, Indonesia — where nature, culture, and community meet. This is not a typical internship. It’s a chance to live and work alongside local changemakers, contribute to real sustainability projects, and gain valuable insight into grassroots development.
Whether you're a student looking for academic credit, a recent graduate exploring your career path, or a purpose-driven traveler seeking to make a difference, our internship program is designed to help you grow — professionally and personally.
Overview
What Interns Do
You’ll be directly involved in hands-on, high-impact projects across three pillars of sustainable development:
-
Ecology – Participate in reforestation, coastal clean-ups, waste management, and environmental education.
-
Economy – Support local cooperatives, help promote traditional crafts (e.g., Songket weaving), or assist in community-based tourism development.
-
Education – Teach children in rural schools, co-design learning materials, or facilitate English and eco-awareness sessions for local youth.
Interns may also help develop new ecotourism experiences, improve communication strategies, document impact stories, or assist in workshop facilitation.
